Contact Form 7: what is supported

This first version supports WordPress with Contact Form 7, and only simple contact and quote forms.

Supported

  • Contact Form 7 version 5.8 or newer, on WordPress 6.4 or newer.
  • Text, email, phone, URL, number, date and text area fields.
  • Drop-down menus, radio buttons, checkboxes and acceptance boxes (we pick values you can review).
  • Forms placed with the Contact Form 7 shortcode or block on a published page.
  • Sites that send mail through WordPress, with or without an SMTP plugin.

Not supported, and how we show it

  • CAPTCHA, quiz and similar bot protection (reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, Turnstile, the Contact Form 7 quiz). We do not bypass them. The check opens the page and finds the form, then reports the test as blocked and lists what could not be verified.
  • File uploads, multi-step forms and payment forms. These cannot be selected for monitoring in this version.
  • Spam filters that classify the test as spam give a blocked result, not a pass.
  • Other form plugins (Gravity Forms, WPForms, Elementor forms and others) are not supported yet.
  • Booking, checkout, login and account sign-up flows are out of scope.

Things worth knowing

  • Contact Form 7 does not store submitted messages by default, so we never treat a missing stored message as an error.
  • WordPress reporting that an email was sent does not prove it was delivered. That is why we also follow a hidden test copy.
  • If you add a new required field, the next check is blocked until you give it a test value. Nothing is sent in the meantime.
